GDS messaging allows GDS based applications to send and receive messages, such as email and Txt, from a centralised point.
GDS Applications create outbound message requests by placing either formatted requests into the transmission folder, or inserting formatted records into a database table. This creates a pending "send list", which the server will process. As each record is processed, the server will generate the outbound content and format and actually send the email. This ensures that a single location contains the overall definition of email structure and content, simplifying management.
