How To Configure a ZEBEX 3051 Scanner

This article outlines how a Zebex 3051 keyboard wedge scanner can be configured to operate with Fieldpine POS.

For keyboard wedge scanners to operate with Fieldpine POS, they are required to send special characters before and immediately after each barcode scan. The POS uses these additional characters to detect the difference between ordinary numbers being entered and a barcode scan.

Once programmed, you should verify the operation using WordPad under Windows. If the scanner does not operate in Wordpad correctly it will not operate in the POS. To test in Wordpad, scan a product barcode, the barcode should repeat across the page:
