How Can I See all POS Abilities and Functions?

Fieldpine POS Systems contain large numbers of functions and abilities. The volume of abilities and the related options is so great that producing a single view of all functions would be unwiedly and confusing to users. So instead systems are configured to show only the relevant options, making systems clearer and more focused to individual businesses.

  • There are many functions, many highly obscure.
  • Listing all possible options would result in several screens of options being presented to users.
  • Options are often mutually exclusive depending on individual business requirements, so cannot be presented in menus until these decisions are made.
  • Some options are under restricted usage or license terms.

Systems such as POS2007 and other packaged solutions include a large number of options that have been combined into that package. These contain the common retail options, preconfigured in the most common usage formats.

Custom systems used by corporate sites however are built specifically only to show the required options for that site, so displaying all options makes no sense for these sites.
